The Pavement Technology Division conducts a wide range of expert activities in matters related to road pavements, which include:

    • expert opinions, scientific, technical and court opinions

    •  design supervision, technological, scientific and laboratory supervision

    •  development of technical requirements for typical and atypical materials and technologies,

    • use of waste materials in road construction,

    •  design of (new and reinforced) flexible and semi-rigid pavements (mechanistic and catalogue methods, deflection method)

    •  verification, optimization and evaluation of pavement structure designs taking into account the evaluation of economic effects,

    •  development of technical requirements, detailed technical specifications for the execution and acceptance of construction works and technical recommendations

    •  pavement rehabilitation and repair technology

    •  technology and design of special pavements e.g. tram and bus, railroad and tramway crossing pavements

    •  FEA numerical analyses of road construction and road materials issues (elasticity, visco-elasticity, thermo-elasticity, and elastic-plasticity issues),

    •  scientific and research work, standardization work, development of National Technical Assessments and Technical Recommendations, execution of national and international research projects, technical consulting,

    •  performance of commissioned scientific research and development work,

    •  development of guidelines, recommendations, instructions, procedures and requirements,

    •  elaboration of concepts and implementation of new technical and technological solutions,

    •  sourcing and evaluating the suitability of materials for transportation construction,

    •  preparation of expert opinions and on-site consulting, supervision of the design and implementation of cold thin overlays, emulsion stabilization, pavement hardening,

    •  horizontal marking execution,

    •  seminars and training courses on road pavements.
