The Bridge Division covers all stages of construction and use of bridge structures (bridges, viaducts, flyovers), animal crossings, tunnels and culverts; from design of structures and technology of their construction, and supervision of their implementation, through detailed inspections, expert opinions, and technical condition assessments that define the conditions for safe operation of structures, to supervision of repairs of the structures.

The Bridge Division conducts research on structural, anti-corrosion, insulation, and repair materials, as well as on road equipment and road engineering elements made of steel and concrete.

The Bridge Division performs field tests, including: test loading of bridge structures and monitoring of structures under service load.

The Bridge Division prepares draft technical and legal regulations concerning road and bridge construction, including guidelines recommended by the Minister of Infrastructure.

The Bridge Division organizes courses and trainings in corrosion protection, repair and strengthening of bridges.
