CONCRETE AND AGGREGATE UNIT

Scope of activity

  • Comprehensive testing of natural aggregates according to PN and PN-EN standards in the field of road construction (for mineral and asphalt mixtures, for subbases, for earthworks), bridge construction (concretes) and railroad construction (railroad ballast),

  • Testing of artificial and recycled aggregates and binders to evaluate their potential for use in transport infrastructure construction,

  • Testing of plastic gratings to evaluate their potential for use in transport infrastructure construction,

  • Development of National Technical Assessments for artificial and recycled aggregates, binders, plastic gratings,

  • Durability and strength testing of natural stone products (curbs, slabs and paving sett),

  • Organization of trainings for personnel (of various levels) from aggregate production plants.

  • Specialist tests concerning, inter alia, alkaline reactivity of aggregates according to PN, ASTM standards, GDDKiA testing procedures, polishing resistance (PSV), abrasion resistance (AAV), petrographic description
