Born on 22 September 1971 in Myszków.          

He graduated from the Faculty of Construction and Environmental Protection in the Department of Organization and Management of Construction Processes, where he was granted his Engineer’s degree in 1996. He completed his Master's degree in 2003 and has been continuously affiliated with the Faculty of Construction at Częstochowa University of Technology ever since.

He holds the license to perform independent technical functions in the construction industry in the speciality of civil engineering and construction, to design and manage construction works without limitations on building structures, road and bridge structures.
In addition, he is certified by the Monument Conservator to conduct, manage and supervise construction works on historical monuments, and he holds the title of cost appraiser by the Association of Construction Appraisers. He is the author of numerous construction designs, technical expertise including construction disasters and cost estimates, and scientific publications.

Graduate of International Relations at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, she obtained a Master's degree in European Studies at the College of Europe in Natolin and a Master's degree in European Studies – specialisation EU Law and Functioning at Nancy 2 University in France.

She started her professional career in the Economic Department of the French Embassy in Poland (Ubifrance), where she was responsible for the infrastructure sector and introduced French companies to the Polish market.

From 2010 to 2019, she led the international activities of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways. During this time, she served as chairwoman of the Executive Committee of the CEDR organisation (Conference of European Directors of Roads) and represented GDDKiA in the PIARC World Road Association. She managed the organisation of the 15th World Winter Road Congress held in Gdańsk in 2018. She coordinated the Office's cooperation with research institutes around the world.

She was a long-time employee of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, where she served as a Strategy Coordinator for the Trans-European Motorway (TEM) project.

She supports the PIARC World Road Association for events around the world. She was PIARC's lead coordinator for the organization of the World Road Congress in Abu Dhabi (2019) and Prague (2023), as well as the Winter Road Congress in Calgary (2022).

She serves as deputy representative of PIARC National Committees to the PIARC Executive Committee.

Since 2020, she has been involved with the Polish Road Congress Association, where she is a Board Member.

Janusz Bohatkiewicz, Ph.D., Eng., professor at the Krakow University of Technology, is a road construction engineer, a specialist in the field of road design and traffic engineering, traffic environmental impact, as well as eco-infrastructure. Author and co-author of more than 100 scientific papers, guidelines, handbooks in the field of road and bridge construction.

He has managed and participated in many projects of a practical and implementation nature, mainly in the field of road and railway construction: technical and economic studies, conceptual designs, building permit designs and construction and detailed designs, technical expertise, acoustic maps, environmental noise protection programmes, reports on the environmental impact of road and rail projects, post-execution analyses, environmental reviews.

He headed the Department of Roads and Bridges at Lublin University of Technology from 2016 to 2021 and is currently a professor at the Department of Roads, Railways and Traffic Engineering at Krakow University of Technology. He has been a member of the Scientific Council of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways since 2020. Since 2021, he has been the Chairman of the Technical Committees for Benchmarks and Standards in Road and Bridge Construction within the Polish Road Congress Association acting as an advisory body to the Minister of Infrastructure. He has also been a member of the Scientific Council of the Road and Bridge Research Institute since 2021.

Since 2019 onwards, a member of the PIARC World Road Association in Technical Committee TC.3.4 “Environmental Sustainability in Road Infrastructure and Transport” and Task Force TF.4.1 “Road Design Standards”, and as of 2024 Chairman of Technical Committee TC 4.5 “Decarbonisation of Road Construction and Maintenance”.

Committee at the Polish Standardization Committee.
In 1993 took a 6-month internship at design and construction companies in Italy.

Author of the RYM-IBDiM method used for determining usable load capacity of bridge objects. In 2004 the method was introduced, by means of a regulation by the General Director of Polish National Roads and Motorways, for common use on all Polish roads. Participated, inter alia, in the reconstruction of Warsaw’s Torunska Route, in the capacity of the scientific and technical supervision coordinator, and in preparation of the functional and use-related program for Warsaw’s Northern Bridge.

A member of the following organizations:
• National Road Building Chamber of Commerce – honorary member;
• Warsaw Chamber of the Bridge Builders’ Association of the Republic of Poland – chairman between 1999 and 2004;
• Polish National Committee of the International Council on Monuments and Sites ICOMOS;
• “Most” Foundation – cooperated, between 1996 and 2004, with the Ukrainian party as a person in charge of technical supervision for the reconstruction of the Castle Bridge in Kamenets Podolskiy;
• Polish Construction Engineers’ Chamber – Secretary of the National Council 2002-2010.

Has earned the following distinctions: 3rd degree award of the Minister of Infrastructure for remarkable creative achievements in architecture and construction – 2002 and 2008 - distinction, Honorary Medal of the Minister of Infrastructure for achievements in the construction sector – 2005.

Author of approximately 100 national and international publications, co-author of 2 patents, as well as over 100 scientific works and expert opinions.

Fond promoter of the history of bridge building, author of numerous articles concerned with load capacity of bridge objects and with reconstruction of historic facilities.
